Today while browsing I came across few jokes related to photography and thought to share them with you. So I have copied and pasted few of them for your entertainment. If you also have any interesting jokes please share them.
Baby Photographer
The Smiths had no children and decided to use a proxy father to start their family. On the day the proxy father was to arrive, Mr.Smith kissed his wife and said, "I'm off. The man should be here soon."
Half an hour later, just by chance, a door-to-door baby photographer rang the doorbell, hoping to make a sale. "Good morning madam. You don't know me but I've come to...."
"Oh, no need to explain. I've been expecting you," Mrs. Smith cut in.
"Really?" the photographer asked. "Well, good! I've made a specialty of babies."
"That's what my husband and I had hoped. Please come in and have a seat. Just where do we start?" asked Mrs. Smith, blushing.
"Leave everything to me. I usually try two in the bathtub, one on the couch and perhaps a couple on the bed. Sometimes the living room floor is fun too; you can really spread out."
"Bathtub, living room floor? No wonder it didn't work for Harry and me."
"Well, madam, none of us can guarantee a good one every time. But if we try several different positions and I shoot from six or seven angles, I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results."
"I hope we can get this over with quickly," gasped Mrs. Smith.
"Madam, in my line of work, a man must take his time. I'd love to be in and out in five minutes, but you'd be disappointed with that, I'm sure."
"Don't I know!!" Mrs. Smith exclaimed.
The photographer opened his briefcase and pulled out a portfolio of his baby pictures. "This was done on the top of a bus in downtown London."
"Oh my god!!" Mrs. Smith exclaimed, tugging at her handkerchief.
"And these twins turned out exceptionally well when you consider their mother was so difficult to work with." The photographer handed Mrs. Smith the picture.
"She was difficult ?" asked Mrs. Smith.
"Yes, I'm afraid so. I finally had to take her to Hyde Park to get the job done right. People were crowding around four and five deep, pushing to get a good look."
"Four and five deep?" asked Mrs. Smith, eyes widened in amazement.
"Yes", the photographer said. "And for more than three hours too. The mother was constantly squealing and yelling. I could hardly concentrate. Then darkness approached and I began to rush my shots. Finally, when the squirrels began nibbling on my equipment, I just packed it all in."
Mrs. Smith leaned forward. "You mean they actually chewed on your, eh......equipment?"
"That's right. Well madam, if you're ready, I'll set up my tripod so that we can get to work."
"Tripod??", Mrs. Smith looked extremely worried now.
"Oh yes, I have to use a tripod to rest my Canon on. It's much too big for me to hold while I'm getting ready for action. Madam? Madam?..... Good Lord, she's fainted!!"
Photographer Works
There was this haunted house on the outskirts of the town which was avoided by all the townfolk - the ghost which `lived' there was feared by all.
However, an enterprising journalist decided to get the scoop of the day by photographing the fearsome phantom. When he entered the house, armed with only his camera, the ghost descended upon him, clanking chains et al. He told the ghost "I mean no harm - I just want your photograph". The ghost was quite happy at this chance to make the headlines - he posed for a number of ghostly shots.
The happy journalist rushed back to his dark room, and began developing the photos. Unfortunately, they turned out to be black and underexposed.
So what's the moral of the story?
The spirit was willing but the flash was weak.
Photo Chief
There was this photographer in one of the most remote parts of the African continent on an assignment. He came across a primitive village where the residents were living in thatched huts and wearing colorful primitive garments. He approached a man who appeared to be the chief who was wearing a large headdress made of woven hemp and colorful feathers.
The photographer, not knowing how to speak to him, pointed to his camera then to the chief. The chief nodded. As the photographer was taking a meter reading the chief said "today use f/16 at 1/125 for ISO 100 film".
Photo Assignment
A photographer goes into a bar and sees a beautiful woman sitting at the bar. After an hour of gathering up his courage, he finally goes over to her and asks, "You are a beautiful woman, would you like to sit for me at my studio?"
To which she responds by yelling, at the top of her lungs, "No, I won't sleep with you tonight!"
Everyone in the bar is now staring at them. Naturally, the poor guy is hopelessly and completely embarrassed and he slinks back to his table.
After a few minutes, the woman walks over to him and apologizes. She smiles at him and quietly says, "I'm sorry if I embarrassed you. You see, I'm a journalist and I've got an assignment to study how people respond to embarrassing situations."
To which the photographer responds, at the top of his lungs, "What do you mean $200?"

Digital Photography ruling all the way
Digital Photography is the need of people going to distant places or for people who want to have their images on the desktops of their personal computers. Digital photography later became the most used forms of photography, but before that the photography which was widely accepted was the film photography.
Film photography has been the art or the inspiration for many of the photographers. According to a study, photography started around the dark ages in the European countries. It was the only way to bring the art of photography into existence. As time passed by, it became the hobby of the people who don’t even know how to click on the button and develop the films. So there came the need of digital photography, a form of photography which uses digital technology to make images of subjects. Digital photographs can be transmitted, manipulated, stored and can be resized. This makes digital photography to rule the industry of photography.
Advantages of Digital photography
Digital photography has many advantages over the ancient form of photography.
The digital photography has its impact in this photography world and thereby the cameras used are further divided into consumer digital cameras and professional ones.
A few of the advantages have been summed up below:-
Advantages in the case of consumer digital cameras:-
• The snaps taken can be easily reviewed and the photographer doesn’t have to wait to develop the films. The same can be changed through the technology if it is blurred or has some defects.
• For a person like me who’s always ready to capture his hundreds of images, the ongoing cost is minimum unless and until we have to mail it.
• The pictures can be easily printed with the help of a computer and a colour printer.
• The best part is that videos can be easily made out of a digital camera while the same can’t be done with the help of a film photographer.
Advantages in the case of a professional digital camera:-
• The professionals need better lightning and composition which is why the film cameras are popular but the digital professional camera leads in this too and has better lightning and composition.
• The digital image is captured in the raw format and cam be changed in the three different formats of imaging which is then merged and processed with colour effects to produce a better picture.
• The professional camera brands like Nikon and canon have made it a point to promote the add-on of the digital single reflex lens cameras (DSLRs).Thus the 10+ mega pixel images can be easily used in the newspapers or may be even printed in the magazines.
After knowing all this about the digital cameras, one should not waste the time in buying a digital camera even if you tempt of having an artist inside him.

Digital Photography VS Film Photography: A debate
Digital photography and Film photography has been discussed against each other from the time when the first camera was invented which can use digital technique to capture images.
The basic reason behind the discussion of both the forms of photography is that the film photography is passionately carried by the professionals or the art lovers while the digital photography is supported by the amateurs who only know to click the button and smile. Being an amateur, I love to click the button, take multiple snaps, resize it, and change the background of the image making the image a better piece to look at. But whenever I am surrounded by some real geeks of this field, I feel a bit nervous because I don’t know anything other than clicking.
Digital photography and the film photography differ in many ways. In some cases digital photography is the best option while in some cases film photography can’t be neglected.
Comparisons of both
1. Cost:-
• In digital photography, one doesn’t need to buy films to capture images but in film photography one has to bear the cost in buying the film rolls.
• In digital photography there is no need to process the images and the images can be easily downloaded to the computer, thus saving the cost. The same is not possible with the film photography.
• The cost of the models of the digital camera are quite low as compared to the cost of the traditional film cameras in which there is always a need of a bigger lens to adjust to the scenic environment.
2. Artistry:-
• In recent times, the digital photography has impressed the professionals along with the amateurs by introducing SLR’s cameras which have made their way in this field.
• But the way the films are developed in the dark room after images captured from a traditional film camera, the artistry of the photography can be seen. Though it takes a lot of pain in capturing the best shots through a film camera yet the art which is made alive by the traditional photographers are worth having a look at.
3. Technical comparisons:-
• Films always had limited latitude so the problem can be solved by the digital camera which has wider latitude. You get more details in the lights and shadows if you have wider latitude like that of a digital camera.
• The resolution of both the films and digital cameras depend on many factors. The resolution of the film camera can be predicted upon the basis of the size of the film used. The size of the films is categorised into 35mm, medium format and large format. It also depends on the speed of the film used and on the quality of the lens fitted to the camera. While the resolution of a digital camera depends on the mega pixels and sensor size.
• There has always been a problem with the dust present on the digital sensors of the digital cameras. The former has been resolved through a dust removing device present with the digital cameras available in the recent products. Such kind of thing has never been an issue in the case of film cameras as each time a fresh piece of film is used to capture the images.
• Digital SLR’s can be considered as hybrids of digital and film photography. The reason behind this is that they use lens mounts which were originally designed for the film cameras. This makes the image quality of the hybrid camera better than the film ones.
After all these comparisons I can easily state that none of the form of photography has the right to take the place of another and both of them are good in their respective places.
Hey! I have decided that I will have both with me. Whenever I am at my friend’s place and am partying I just need to click on the button of the digital camera and when I am wandering in the Himalayas, I would love to adjust the lens of my traditional camera AS 10 kodachrome and would love to capture the views of nature.

Digital photography: lesser cost with more storage
Digital photography has been in the news since it was made. It is not an invention. It is something for the photographers to cheer for.
Today in the morning, a friend of mine came at my house and asked me to pack up my bags for a beach trip. I asked him “dude, do you have a camera and film rolls?” He was amused by this question and asked me if am living in an outdated world. Then he took out one of the tech magazines from his bag which was having a list of prices of digital cameras. I was shocked when I looked at the list. Brand like Sony was having a fairly cheap price. Next to it was Nikon and then Canon. The eye-catchy part of the list was the storage they were giving.
I managed to note down some of the configurations of the digital cameras. They have been summarized below:-
• Sony Cyber-Shot DSC W290
This model has 12.1 mega pixels, 5x3 inch display and costs cheap, ranges from $189 to $229.
• Sony Cyber-Shot DSC H-20
This one has less pixels than the above one i.e. 10.1 mega pixels
But has a bigger display that is 10x3 inch, exactly double that of DSC W290 and that is why its prices are a bit high and ranges from $243 to $289
• Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS3
Panasonic makes their way in the industry of digital cameras by making the prices of its models more competitive.
The camera just ranges from $389 to $449.It has 10.1 mega pixels, and an enhanced 12x3 inches display which make it a good buy.
• Canon-power Shot SD1200IS
It is a 10.1 mega pixels camera having a 3x2.5 inch display, than the regular Sony and canon cameras but its price pays for it which is in between $169 to $229.
Note:- The prices of the above models are subjected to change.
More Storage
Storage problems are resolved by the Digital photography. After capturing the images from the traditional film camera, the photographers had to store rolls of films and were always in doubt if the rolls disintegrate. The digital cameras are nowadays provided with 1GB, 2GB and even with 8 GB of memory cards. So for a person like me who loves talking multiple images of himself doesn’t need to bother about the space left as I can easily store multiple images in the memory card. After that, I can easily store the images in my computer and burn them into compact disks so I don’t need to bother for printing them. Storing them in the computer helps me to change the background of the images, fix the red eyes etc. with the help of graphics programs like Picasa. The reason of having a digital camera recently is to post snaps on social networking sites like twitter and MySpace.
So the advantage of having better storage and lesser cost brings the digital photography ahead of the traditional film photography.
